Christmas

I want to start this off by saying, I lost my notebook with all of my writings in it. Now this is strange, because it always stays in one area and it's not there. Unfortunatly, I think someone took it. If no one took it and I find it, I will make another post to apologize and 'eat my words.'

Now onto the feature presentation . . .

I don't want to be one of those ppl who says "I hate Christmas." I really don't, I just hate the idea of it. I watched my nephews rip through wrapping and exclaim at what they got. They got a few games but a whole lot of clothes. They were fresh. What really got me though, was how appreciative these children were of the fresh ass clothes they got. What's going to piss me off in the future is the shit they're going to get for not getting all these fancy games and whatnot. It's been awhile since I had a Christmas where I ripped through wrapping. At first I thought I was just jealous, but that isn't it. Whenever I tell of what I got for Christmas, I either get one of two responses. There's the "Oh-sorry-you-didn't-get-this-this-and-that" look or I get the "I'm happy I got what I got . . sucks to be you dude." Now I've always got the 'below average amount of gifts' i guess we can call it, but the best part of this day was the family getting together. I dunno, maybe it's because I really couldn't get anybody anything this year and I'm just beating myself up like I usually do . . . Not really in the mood to get too deep. Fuck this . . .

If I had my fucking notebook this would be a lot easier.

*My First Thought Entry*

This is the first time I actually wrote my thoughts down and copied it to anything via the world wide web. Buckle up for the ride . .

If I put the effort into it, I could be an outstanding person. It seem so easy, all one would have to do is do everything correct. Pay bills on time, stay on schedule with health check-ups and oil changes, not get the second plate . . . my foot itches . . I believe I could make a story, show, movie what-have-you. (<----- check me out though . . ) Along with Mr. Marshall Mathers song, "Kim" playing on my iPod, I'm watching the very underrated 'Arrested Development.' I could so write a story with characters that have have great depth, the audience can all relate too. I just don't have the time to do it. I can't wait till I get months ahead so I can do interesting shit, for once. Like turntablism, learning the guitar and drums, possibly write a pilot to a show.

So ima change some some habits so I can further grow into the person I wanna be. They won't be noticed at first, three months into my maturation it'll seem as I changed over night. I plan to get a Rolodex and insist different habits I want to change. Every morning , *phone rings* . . excuse me . . *phone closes* . . where was I? Oh yea, every morning I'll spin the Rolodex and pick a new habit everyday. . . damn phone . . Eventually my habits will change on their own. I'll also carry that card around with me and put it in key spots on my person (wallet, pocket with keys). For one, we can start on my laziness. Granted I work two jobs and too often will do nothing at all and use the excuse "This is my gift to myself." I have so many deep, complex ideas, but I'll be too lazy to write it out and take a chance and act on it. I try to make excuses with myself like, "I think too fast and by the time I think to get a pen and write, I blame it on my mind being too far ahead. Like my pen is on phase 1 and my mind is going onto phase 4. I think by the time I write it out I'll lose my awesome mind momentum or my pen will forget phases 2 and, or 3. (I think this is the first time the pen caught up to my mind . . . I think ima keep this pen . . ) Perhaps for now, I'll just use blank pieces of paper instead of purchasing a Rolodex.

*random though*
Naruto is the shit! New habit ima learn: Don't Judge A Book By It's Cover . . At All

Some habits I need to work on is:
Punctuality
Open My Mind
Heath
Better With Money (this means by some things for yourself, Frank)

Slow Down . . .

I move entirely too fast. Like my 'pen vs. mind' theory, mentioned earlier. My mind moves so fast, I won't react to what I thought of. My mind will tell me to do this, this, this, and that. By the time I react, I forgot the 2nd 'this' and forgot what 'that' was. I'm actually going to begin this habit changing exercise tonight to begin tomorrow.

"Yo!? Where You Been At!??!"

Don't you all hate when you haven't seen someone or talked to them in awhile and they put it on you? WTF!? If you were so concerned on why I haven't gotten in touch with you, muhfucka phone/facebook/myspace/e-mail works both ways. Why you ain't hit me to see if I was ok? It bothered you enough to come at me and ask why I haven't gotten in touch with you. Well obviously I've either been busy with my job and school, I tried to get in touch with you and you have yet to respond; perhaps you're also working and in school, or I simply did not want to speak with you since the last time we spoke. It just has to be one of those three. I promised someone (honestly don't remember who, I get so many requests to write on it's ridiculous) I'd write this. I hope this gets out and we can all take a step back and ask, "is that me that Frank is talking about?" It's all luv, think one second before you speak and it'll cut your altercations in half. Trust.

Doin what I do best, give you the POINT!

Ended The Week How I Started It

So Saturday I woke up and went to Midas (trust the midas touch) to get an oil change. My preferred Midas is in Beltsville, so I went on my 15 min. quest to Beltsville to get there and see the lease was up and the closed. Well that pissed me off, so I traveled another 15min to get back to Laurel and got my oil change there. Then I went to wash my whip and was accompanied by my moms. This could only happen to my mother, but while I was vacuuming my car, her car died. Gave her a jump, we go on our way, then I go to bartend that evening and im working with non other than, Captain Killjoy itself.

You all are probably reading this thinking, "his Saturday sucked . . ." but it didn't. The weather was on point, I had my iPod on shuffle and every song that played while I did all of the above errands was great. All classics or songs that brought back some real good memories. Continuing . .

Although it was dead Saturday night, on a closing shift I left with ***.**. (Yall can't be knowing what i make, some ppl may try to get me after work one day . . . ) It was over a hundred, so that's always good times.

Sunday I woke up, weather still nice. 'Cooked on the grill' and went to finish the rims on my car. When my homegirl Deb hit me and decided we should go to brunch. 'Cooked' over there and while we were driving to Ramshead, 'Gangsta Lean' by the Clipse came on. I dunno why, but that song came on at a great time. I was w/ some of my fav ppl, in my fresh, clean ass whip, on a beautiful ass day listening to 'Gangsta Lean.'

If you're reading this blog now and never heard Gangsta Lean by the Clipse, youtube it now.

It was like a perfect moment, whenever that song comes on I will always remember that moment. Everything was ok, I was around some fav's, in the car I OWN (THAT'S MY MUHFUCKIN CAR!), just got a promotion, made good money the night before and I was awake to see the beautiful day that was due to come.

After brunch, I went to finish my rims when I was joined by my 'better half.' The 15-20 min. w/ her was refreshing too. I'm telling yall, the weekend was good, but Sunday was the best. Oh! Then after we left the car wash I went and bought Dark Knight on Blu-Ray, but this is the catch . . it was the very last one! Bet!

So 4:30 came around, back at the bar, staff wasn't the best for me to joke and talk too, but that staff brought in good money. To wrap this shit up, my weekend was great. It was damn good to have one of those weekends that didnt' cost much. Just two days when you with ya crew, doin what yall do, spending no money. Even though I had to go to work, I didn't do much and still brought in big bank!

Terrible Morning

I said I was going to blog about my morning of December 11th, 2008. It started like this:

I had a doctors appointment at 7:00 a.m. when Doppler Radar told me it was raining, so I got my coat and umbrella. I get to the doctors office and hang my coat, with my umbrella in the pocket on the coat hanger. I get checked out, every thing's straight of course, and I noticed my coat is missing but there's another coat that resembles mine still hanging. Which means some asshole took my coat and enjoyed not being wet because of my fucking umbrella. I drove home, got my fleece, not a coat a fucking fleece, and went out into the cold wet weather with no umbrella and a fleece.

Then every major highway was backed up or blocked by police because of a car accident, so it took me an hour to get to work.

Those that don't know, I get free parking if i can move my car within two hours. I place a reminder in my phone every two hours to remind me to move it. Well I stepped away from my phone with 2 minutes left to my reminder and didn't realize it. I get back to my phone and I see I missed my reminder . . .20 minutes ago. I payed 4 dollars to get out the garage and remembered my co workers walked to quizno's so I went to go pick them up and these characters decided not to go or answer their phones. After they weren't at Quizno's I drive back to the garage and . . .

I've been working for UMUC for two years now and I've parked in the same spot for those two years. I pull in the garage and there's a Cream Lincoln Continental in my parking spot. I was gone for 10 minutes and there's an asshole in my parking spot. The driver of that car knows that's my spot and saw me earlier in the day and knows I move my car.

Pimp Hand Strong

"They say uh . . a black man is a pimp. But let me tell you the biggest pimp, on planet muthafuckin Earth, is 'her mama.' It's 'her mama' that told her, "Get a man that got a good job girl, make sure he got a good car girl, make sure he can take you out and buy you something girl." What happened to just falling in love with a nigga with a bus pass? Just cus ya loved the nigga. But I'm the pimp muthafucka. I gotta be the playa. Biggest hoes, on planet Earth, are walking through the muthafucking neighborhood, you knew when you got with the nigga he already had a woman. You knew he already had a family, but you fucked him anyway. And then when you thought you was gonna lose the nigga, ya went and got pregnant, didn't ya bitch!? Didn't ya!? The old 'keep-a-nigga-baby.' And then when the nigga ain't around what do ya tell the child? "That nigga ain't shit, thats why ya daddy ain't here. Cuz that nigga ain't shit! How about being a woman and telling the kid the truth, that ya momma, YOU was a ho! Tell the kid. "Momma was a ho, I was weekend pussy, I had you to keep the nigga, it didn't work out, that's why he ain't here. But he a good nigga, cause he take care of his real family. I was just a dumb bitch tryna keep a nigga that I wanted." - Eddie Griffin

So I had a terrible morning (that'll be in another blog) and this skit came on shuffle on my iPod. I always wanted to blog about this track (Ed-Ucation- Dr Dre 2001) because it's true. Don't get me wrong, men be fucking up. I'll admit it . .

WE FUCK UP!

However, don't think everything is peaches and cream on your side ladies. If you read the above quote and are appalled by it, I suggest you go outside and get a good whiff of reality. It happens all the time, I have cousins and uncles who have/are going through it now. It is what it is though. Personally I believe the above quote is very much true. The woman is an emotionally creature, just as the man is not emotional. "A woman's life is love and a man's love is life." I got that quote from a song by Little Brother (my iPod is dying and don't want to risk looking for it, i'll edit this post later to whomever wants to sue me because I didn't give the proper citation). Ladies are just as shiesty as the fellas. Ladies will start shit like this and fellas will ruin the fuck out of a relationship. That's another topic for discussion . . however, the next time you hear about 'baby mama drama' take a step back and look at the whole picture. Don't just look at the man and point the finger, we're simple. We all know men simple, you throw some pussy in a dudes face and he's gonna take it . . it may not be at that moment, but it will linger in his mind for awhile and he'll eventually take it (except for yours truly, of course. ;-P ). Look from the females perspective and see why would she end up pregnant all of a sudden.

Dedicated to bringing you all 'the real'

Random Thought . .

How does Arizona manage to keep their can drinks at 99 cents? The day I pay 1.06 for an Arizona, I honestly think it'll ruin my day. I really think so . . .

Slight Rant

"We gonna lose everything we fought to get mayne. Don't you see the game is fin' to leave the south and go somewhere else if we don't straighten up? At the end of these records we listen to we don't get nothin' out of them no more, mayne. We don't get no social commentary, we aint' gettin no kind of knowledge out theses records, everybody just talkin' bout how many chains they got on and how much dope they sold, but the truth of the matter is this . . . I don't believe you!" - Pimp C

I was working Friday evening, listening to my iPod on shuffle and this song from Chamillionaire came on off of his latest mixtape, "Mixtape Messiah 5 (not bad, i prefer pt. 4). That quote was from the late Chad Butler a.k.a. Pimp C. I listened to that quote over and over again and I couldn't stop listening to it, because it's so true. It's too true. Not even for just the South, it's for all over. The rap game has fallen off seriously, I remember being young and just hearing the radio just push out all hits. Hits that had stories and morals behind them. It's a shame no one wants to put out real music anymore and it's more of a shame the artists that do put hits out won't get recognized.

"Everybody on these records lyin! Everybody lyin, everybody this big "D-boy," everybody these hardcore gangstas, everybody gonna do this to each other when they see each other, and the truth be told, we too blessed and we havin' too much money in this rap game to be goin' to war with each other. Don't nobody wanna fight nobody in this rap game, cuz 98% of these dudes is cowards!" - Pimp C

Too piggy back off my man Chad's rant, if all these rappers are d-boys, gangstas, pushing all this blow up and down the coast . . . well they aren't real at all. Real gangsters never get their hands dirty they get men or women to do it. " . . . them cats that squeeze them guns can hold junk too." (Christopher Wallace). Chad was also right when he said we all too blessed to be fighting one another. There's a serious recession now, if anyone has a well paying job for their current situation they need to hold on to it for dear life.

I want to end this blog by showing respect to our late Chad Butler (December 29, 1973 – December 4, 2007) and the late Christopher Wallace (May 21, 1972 – March 9, 1997)

Two pioneers of hip hop, fans will and continue to miss them, may they rest in peace.

No Title Needed

Yall don't even know how proud i am i started this . . . just don't know . . .

Just let me be . . . ,
Frank

The Franksaw . . .

Salutations and welcome to my blogspot,

Some of you have heard me say I need to make a show/book/movie of my life and daily adventures so this is the pilot episode if you will. I called my first blog 'The Franksaw . . . ' because i'm like a jigsaw puzzle. You open this 1000 piece box with puzzle pieces, it takes forever to put together but with some help and determination you see the picture clearly. That's me. I've gotten countless, 'What you know about . . whateva, whateva.' I'm going to take a page out of my good friend 'KT's' book when I say the next statement along with the following. I think very random and therefore I'm going to give it to you all how it comes to me. This is the 'Franksaw' let's get started:

I'm a junior, 22 y/o, my whole name is Franklin (lot of ppl are surprised to hear that), raised in NJ for 15 years but all my family is in VA, i listen to mostly underground hip hop, hip hop is on vacation . . it's not dead, i've been told by more than one person (not a girlfriend, family, bestfriend) that i'm one of the most awesome ppl they met . . i don't think that, im just a plain guy, i don't smile in pictures, i'm a bartender, The Gorillaz are the shit, can't go wrong with a cartoon band right ci?, im really animated, i don't like to meet new people and there's a reason why . . I care a lot about the ppl i kno, like A LOT, so its hard to add people into my life because i need to make space for them, because why be an associate if you can't help them somehow? I come off cold at first, i'm really not, I'm analyzing you to see what i can say and can't say and do and can't do around you . . trust me it's really me and not you, this is the first blog i've written since 05 or 06 so bear with me until i get the blog rules right again, um . . . , i have the worst cell phone issues ever, which is why i refuse to buy blackberrys, g1, etc. i'm not paying 500.00 just for my screen to crack and amber to tell me it's not covered in my insurance, i drive a charger, i'm a serious football, basketball, anime, videogame, and book fan, if anyone reading this has me for a secret santa somewhere you can't go wrong with the previously mentioned, i'm currently writing this at work, i want to learn how to dj (Where you at, Soundwave?) . . .

I'm slowly running out of random thoughts, but this is a preview of more blogs to come. If a random thought appears in my mind, it will appear on a blog, they will either be at the top of the blog or bottom, depending on my mood. That's about it . . . . .

Just Let Me Be . . .,
Frank
